COP is committed to protecting the privacy of all donors and visitors to its website, www.childrenofpersia.org.  Protecting your privacy is a priority for us and we take great measures to protect it. As such, we provide the following to explain our information gathering and use practices and our privacy policy for all donors, however their gift is made – online, in person, by phone, or through the mail.

We do not require visitors to our website to register or provide any personally identifying information in order to view any of the webpages. We collect your information when you voluntarily submit such information to us, which may include name, address, phone numbers, email address and / or financial information such as credit/debit cards for the purpose of making a financial donation.  When you contact us via email or thru our website, we maintain your name and email address for processing the inquiry and providing the requested information.

The following, non–personally identifying information will be gathered when you use COP website: website addresses that you came from and go to, pages you visit on the COP site, the type of browser used, time and date of visits, and IP address.

We may use cookies to improve content and provide easier access. Cookies and other similar technologies collect non-personal information about the user of a particular IP address. Cookies helps us collect trends and insights on our website, allowing us to offer future improvements to the site; however, cookies that we generate contain no identifiable information about you, or your computer. The information we collect is used solely for COP’s internal use to accept and process donations, provide updates, and announcements about projects and activities of COP, process requests for information, and complete programs and projects such as scholarships.  The statistical and personally identifying information we receive as a result of a visitor’s use of COP websites will be gathered to help COP understand how its website is accessed and how we can improve. None of the statistical, non–personally identifying information collected by COP will be used by COP to identify a visitor or be linked to any personally identifying information about the visitor.

We use industry standard safeguards to protect your information. Many donors use credit cards for donations. We protect the security of credit card transactions using a number of measures such as encryption and access controls which make it extremely difficult for anyone to intercept the credit card information you send to us. When we work with third party companies to process credit card transactions, those companies also use encryption and other security measures.

We do not rent, exchange, or sell any of the information you provide to us with any other entity.  We will only share personally identifying information with third parties when you authorize COP to do so or when COP is required to do so by law.

We will remove your name from our mailing list or email list at any time, at your request.  Please send your request to info@childrenofpersia.org

COP may, in its sole discretion, modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we change the policy, we will update the ‘last modified’ date at the bottom of this page. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of any changes to this policy means you accept such changes.
