The 6th annual Walk-4-Children will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2008, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Bethesda, Maryland.

This event has grown into an area tradition, providing our supporters the opportunity to enjoy the early Fall weather while having lots of fun, food, entertainment, and the company of friends and family - all while showing their continued support for Children of Persia's mission.

COP Walk 4 Children ~ 2008

Over the last year, Children of Persia has assisted needy children and their families to access medical treatment, educational services, social services, housing, and general community support. Such activities would not be possible without successful events such as the annual Walk-4-Children. And the success of events like this is not possible without the financial support of sponsors such as you. Our fundraising goal for the 6th annual Walk-4-Children is $40,000. The funds raised will be used to continue Children of Persia's mission.

Register Early! The first 500 people registered will receive a free Walk-4-Children T-shirt.

HEART for BEHZAD

Children of Persia and the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants have joined forces to assist Behzad, a young man from Florida who is suffering from a complex heart condition. Behzad will need a heart to be able to live. Medically, he is a qualified candidate to be placed on the heart transplant list. The second qualification though prevents him from getting on that list – finances. The funds are being raised for Behzad to be able to get him on the heart transplant list.
